Frucht-mash is a globally unique innovative product for the vitality and performance of racing pigeons and ornamental birds. Frucht-mash is one of the highest quality nutritional supplements produced for animals worldwide. The preparation is made from valuable fruits – with raw materials that meet food standards. The processed fruit powders from sea buckthorn berries, rose hips, elderberries and numerous forest and tropical fruits contain substances that promote vitality, reproduction and growth.

Fruit mash offers an expansion of the food spectrum through carefully selected natural fruits (native, southern or tropical origin). The special biological nutrients (including vitamins, bioflavonoids, minerals and more) of these fruits provide a balance to an often one-sided diet. Fruit mash expands the protein and energy potential through the so-called “wood sugar yeast” and a special yeast containing nucleotides.

Racing pigeons are “powerhouses” that react very sensitively to external influences. Problems in the respiratory area or “weakening” in the immune area (cf. “young pigeon disease”) are indicators of a disturbed protein and energy metabolism. Micronutrients from nature provide the balance to an often one-sided diet. Fruit mash provides the appropriate pre-stages for the formation of numerous adenosine triphosphates (ATPs), especially for the energy balance. These are important for increased energy requirements.

Instructions for use: Fruit mash can be given to racing pigeons throughout the year. It is particularly necessary and valuable during periods of high stress (rearing, racing and moulting).

Dosage: The dosage instructions are only guidelines. The dosage can be adjusted individually by the owner depending on the pigeon’s fitness level.
Breeding: approx. 1 – 2 dosing spoons/kg grain feed
Journey: (see also “Travel plan”) Start of the journey: 1 measuring spoon/kg grain feed, from a distance of approx. 400 km: 2 measuring spoons/kg grain feed.
Moulting: approx. 2 dosing spoons/kg grain feed

The best way to bind the fruit mash to the grain feed is with Frutin. In terms of nutrients, Tarsin is an optimal supplement.

The ingredients
Sea buckthorn berries are known as the “lemon of the north”. It provides ten times as much vitamin C as the lemon. It is also very rich in other vitamins (B vitamins, tocoferol, carotenoids), plant sterols and important fatty acids (such as omega-3, omega-6, omega-7 and omega-9 fatty acids). Sea buckthorn berries also contain the bioactive substance lycobin, which strengthens the immune system.

Rosehips are among the fruits richest in vitamins. Particularly noteworthy is vitamin C, but also beta-carotene, the vitamin B complex, vitamin E, vitamin K and vitamin P (rutin). Rosehips contain above-average amounts of the minerals calcium, magnesium and, above all, potassium. Flavonoids are a very important ingredient, especially citrin and rutin. The various sugars in the rose hip are an ideal food source for lactobacilli, as they are available in the re-scha medicines (re-scha lactobacilli preparations).

Elderberry is known in human medicine as a secret weapon against colds and flu-like infections. Its relatively high content of minerals, vitamins and vital (=essential) amino acids is striking. The dark colorant (sambucyanin) of elderberry is of particular importance. Sambucyanin is an important radical scavenger.

Forest fruits (including blueberries, blackberries, etc.) contain high doses of bioflavonoids, which are particularly rich in folic acid and have a high mineral content (especially magnesium and iron for blood formation). The colorants (anthocyanins) in blueberries inhibit the enzyme lipoxygenase, which is active in inflammatory processes.
Tropical fruits (e.g. pineapple, apricot, …) are also rich in vital substances. Pineapple enzymes relax the muscles and relieve muscle cramps. Pineapple enzymes also have a positive effect on the digestion of protein and fat.

Wood sugar yeast (yeast cells are biologically inactivated), a little-known protein component, is produced by the Kluyveromces Fragilis strain. It has an extremely high value in terms of the amount and versatility of important amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

Special yeast with a relatively high content of nucleotides. These tiny building blocks are required for cell division, tissue growth and immune development. They are indispensable for energy and protein metabolism. There is a particularly high requirement in phases of intensive cell division (e.g. breeding phase or the journey in racing pigeon sport). Supplying nucleotides via the diet improves energy efficiency. The body’s resilience is improved.
