Straight feeding stuff for pigeons The ingredients of willow bark are salicyl alcohol glycosides, flavonoids, phenolic carboxylic acids and tannins. The salicin is broken down in the intestine to salical alcohol and glucose and then converted in the liver to salicylic acid, the active ingredient in aspirin. During the journey on one day after the flight, during moulting every 4 weeks on 2 consecutive days and for weaned young pigeons also every 4 weeks on 2 consecutive days.
