Lecithin is a generic term for all fatty substances consisting of fatty acids, phospholipids, triglycerides, glycolipids, glycerol and choline. Although there are many benefits to racing pigeons from lecithin, the most important function is that of an emulsifier, which helps to mix water and fat. As a result, the addition of lecithin to the grain increases the bioavailability and absorption of the fat from the grain into the body. In this way, lecithin supports the pigeons with additional energy!
