French millet red 5kg
About the red foxtail millet
Yellow foxtail millet is an unthreshed individual feed for birds and consists of fruit stalks in which the seeds are still in their natural “packaging”. The birds have to pick the grains individually out of the fruit stalk, i.e. the cob, which enables them to feed in a natural way.
Popular food for many bird species
The small millet seeds are a real treat for many bird species, including sparrows, finches, goldfinches, dunnocks and ornamental birds such as budgerigars, cockatiels, exotic birds and parrots.
Feeding recommendations
Millet should be offered to birds as a treat in small quantities, as it is relatively low in fat and can lead to obesity if eaten in excess. If birds were allowed to eat large quantities of millet every day, they would spurn the other food and only eat the millet, which could lead to a considerable lack of nutrients. Millet should therefore only be given as an occasional treat.
