Elderberry contains a large number of secondary plant substances that can help poultry to regenerate more quickly. It also contains a precisely balanced amount of iron and B-complex vitamins, which are known to improve blood regeneration. An iron and vitamin B deficiency manifests itself in a reduced immune system. The animals appear weak and are more susceptible to parasite infestation.
