The black seeds are surrounded by a fruit husk up to 30 cm long and this fruit husk is dried after harvesting and processed into pieces. It has a very pleasant texture and is therefore very suitable for various animals. It is very popular due to its sweet taste.

Feeding recommendation:

• Dogs, cats, horses: Carob can be soaked and mixed into the feed.
• Rodents: only give as a treat in small quantities with the basic food.
