Foxtail millet for birds: Red foxtail millet from France 1kg
Straight feeding stuff for birds
Natural feed intake with red foxtail millet
The red foxtail millet is an unthreshed crop in which the seeds are still in their natural packaging. This means that the birds still have to work a little for their food by picking the seeds individually out of the fruit stalk, i.e. the cob. This is therefore a natural feeding method that is readily accepted by many birds.
Tasty treats for all ornamental birds
The small millet seeds attract small birds such as sparrows, finches, goldfinches and dunnocks and are a tasty treat for all ornamental birds such as budgerigars, cockatiels, exotic birds and parrots. Feeding recommendation: Offer the birds millet as a treat in small quantities to prevent obesity. Nutritional information for foxtail millet: Millet contains relatively little fat. On average, 100 g of millet contains a maximum of 4 g of fat – in comparison, sunflower seeds contain around 50 g of fat per 100 g. Millet should therefore only be eaten in small quantities as an occasional treat. An unbalanced diet with millet can lead to a considerable nutrient deficiency.
